• Re: Bang and Olufsen Outsourced
Optical disk reading mechanisms generally are notoriously unreliable, however, I know that with my Sony Bluray player, the instructions state that it is to be placed on a flat and level surface. I assume that this could be critical if it has a swing arm laser mechanism, perhaps less so if using a linear tracking arm/sled

  • Re: BeoLab 1 - All White

Congratulations, Lee! Fantastic work! How long did it take to modify the speakers? Did you completely disassembled them? Please give us more details of your white beauties :-) On the photo your frets seem to look far better than the white frets of the Beolab 8000 or 9 because I can't see the speakerholes on yours! The white frets on Beolab 8000
People who buy a Vertu is beyond my comprehension...
A Vertu phone is a little bit more than just "bling bling". In terms of build and component quality there's nearly nothing on the market that you can compare. They had a nice little report video on Vertu manufacturing where some Vertu stuff

  • Beoplayer + Beomaster 5+ Beosound 5 + Computer Fragen

  • Re: Beo5/6 or Lintronic box?

It IS simple with a Beo 5 or 6 but the perfect combination: Lintronic + Beo 5 or Beo 6 you can copy your original remotes with the Lintronic Device and then import it via Software to the Beo Configuration Software. Without the Lintronic Box it's always the question: Where to get codes for my devices from?

  • Re: Beotiime: Different display colors?

I currently live with this issue but for a 320 Euro Alarm clock that is an absolutely no go! I bought a 2nd one and I like them realy much regardless of this issue. @Chris: It opereates on the same frequency as the Beo 4, 5, and 6. It makes some kind of metallic or porcelain "ping" noise for wake up - you can't miss that in the morning

  • Re: Beotiime: Different display colors?

yep, but B&O should use much better quality components and it would be cool to hack the Beotime to use your own MP3-sounds as an alarm :-)
