Thanks vinnie21 for the info! I have the Avant since 1998 (omg 10 years) and upgraded gradually to DolbyDigital, RF modulation, chipset... I really like the image of the Avant and want to keep my investment as it still looks and works as brand new. However, I am starting to see that it is hard to combine it as new technology/requirement is coming (DTV

Well, no answers... I also realise they are no easy answer. So I will put the question differently. Is there anyone made a connection between Apple TV and B&O TV using a composite (CVBS) converter? Is the quality of the image for photos/movies good? Having all the RGB scart ports used by peripherals (DVD, HDR), anybody tried a solution to connect

Hi Marcus, having posted the same question regarding an ATV-Avant a few days ago, I will just do a further comment. In my opinion, the converter you are looking converts only Component-to-RGB. Make sure that the AV2 Expander port of your MX7000 can manage RGB signal (opposed to composite only). In this case, you would need another type of converter

Hi everyone! I have received an AppleTV and I would like to connect it to my Avant (CTV, EUR). Before buying the Component/RGB converter, some doubts came to my mind: does my Avant has a RGB scart for my ATV? In fact, the AV and V.TAPE scarts are already taken by DVD1 and HDR1 respectively. Only the DECODER scart is free but I've read in the tech

Do you mean BeoCenter 9000 or BeoSound 9000? " src="http://forum.beoworld.org/emoticons/35.gif" /> I think you would be lucky to find an original box of BeoCenter... In case of BeoSound: 105 x 22.5 x 41 cm Cheers
-
I am guessing it is not 2-way because of its type and information given on the BeoWorld site: http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=393 It also writes that 2616 is definitely 2-way, like you said AT. That's too bad, I don't have the proper type for what I want to do. Sometimes you have to update your system if you want to use "advanced"

My BeoCenter 2300 is definitely not 2-way. Concerning the BeoSound 9000, its timer is controlled using the master, i.e. the Avant. Turning on the timer on BeoSound says: TV Operated. Turning on the timer for the radio on the Avant turns on the BeoSound. My last hope is that I can program timer play using BeoLink 5000/7000 even if the BeoCenter is not
-
Thanks AT... but I heard that timer programming with BeoLink5000/7000 would work only if you have a two-way BeoCenter 2300... From the type number of my set, I think it is only one-way. I hope to be wrong again! ;-) If you can confirm...
-
Maybe a different problem, however there has been a time that my BeoCenter 2300 was going bananas. The doors were opening by themselves, with no reason. Or they would not open if I asked to. So I cleaned the glass doors to make sure there was no dust inside out. I also realized there was a light reflecting directly on the movement sensors, so I move

Thanks Lee for bumping my post. ;-) I have checked all the options on the Avant but no chance: all timer options accessible are for the sources hooked directly to the video master. No timer options for audio/video slave in link room. I have also checked with a BV6 in a link room. The timer play for this TV is adjustable directly on the set. So I guess
