...am I insane? I should say I considered this very seriously, had all the figures etc from B&O, back in the late 90s but didn't go through with it. Now, should probably be an even less sensible idea since technology is moving faster than ever and B&O a little slower than usual... plus the whole 'credit crunch' situation... is this

Flappo The Grate: moxxey: Flappo The Grate: so does that mean that since samsung make bno's screens , sony's are to a higher standard ? Don't forget that Samsung supply the Apple LCD panels, too, after Apple invested $150 million in their LCD plant a few years ago. very interesting , mr bond are you thinking what i'm thinking ? Actually

Beobird: IAnd they must really stop with the car audio...One stereo in the a8 is good and exclusive, but now it looks like they are milking themselfs to the bone with all those new car-brands and the whole Audi sery. +1. Audi A8, R8 even, OK but my heart sinks at the prospect of an A4 with B&O branding on the speakers. To me that puts the brand

Kevin: I knew they should have brought out a new Beogram! I wish! I'd love one. I'm about to buy a Pro-ject III USB for my vinyl collection, moving it all on to digital format. I'd much rather have a brand-new Beogram, if such a thing existed! G.

As regards Apple buying B&O, I don't believe that would happen, and I hope it never does. While I like the products of both companies, I think it would be a disaster for B&O. Apple is a very different type of company, and I'm not sure they would understand each other well.

Well, I *hate* to say "I told you so" ;-) but... Paramount are to drop support for HD-DVD - meaning this format war is indeed over, and Blu-ray did indeed win. note: I'm not saying that's necessarily a good thing, or a better format; just saying ;-) http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/dc409afa-bd75-11dc-b7e6-0000779fd2ac.html?nclick_check=1

moxxey: Sadly, I think the 'war' is far from won. According to some, Microsoft will announce a XBOX with a built-in HD DVD drive at CES, although Apple is rumoured to be supplying their Mac Pro's with Blu-ray drives. Also, is it Universal and Paramount that only produce HD DVD movies, such as Bourne Ultimatum, which you can't get on

Synergy: My BV7/3 went back. The PQ was totally unwatchable on SD.Plus it had a few other 'niggles'. Got me a Kuro which is sooo much better.Combined it with a £150 Pioneer upscaling dvd player and the picture quality is superb! I don't enjoy juggling remotes again though... Yes, I went with the Pioneer Kuro too, and I don't regret

Danny: Would I love a 40" with the possibility of a sorround module... +1. What he said!

Danny: a wide selection of different sized LCD and plasma screens to connect to the BS3 would be my favourite - and easily (and relatively cheap) to upgrade! That's an excellent solution, and one I really wanted to work, but the BS3 isn't quite there for me, and I've heard so many horror stories about non-B&O panels not working with
