  • BV9-can it be ISF calibrated?

I understand that B & O calibrates the BV9 in the factory. Presumably,it is for this reason that the User Adjustments are confined to the usual parameters-brightness,contrast,colour etc. I was wondering if the BV9 can be ISF calibrated. If so,has anyone carried it out? How accurate is the factory calibration?

  • Re: BV9 v Pioneer Kuro(8G series) ?

It bears repeating that the panel per se accounts for only part of a TV's performance. Pioneer's substantial price premium over Panasonic must be attributal,in part,to the former's superior, and more expensive, processing "engine". A fairer comparison would be between Pioneer, and Fujitsu, which uses Panasonic panels, where the performance

In the relevent Pioneer threads on www.avforums.com website,it would appear that the LX full HD models excel the already excellent XD models. In fact, the concensus view of three dealers/professional (ISF) installlers is that partially calibrated-codes have yet to be released to enable a full ISF calibration- the LX picture quality was equal to that of

  • Re: BV9 v Pioneer Kuro(8G series) ?

Thanks for the responses. My reason for posing the question was that, notwithstanding it's inbuilt additional features, for it's price the BV9 should be capable of producing PQ that was comparable to,if not better than, the best that was currently available. An additonal reason was to ascertain if B & O had "raised the bar" with the

  • BV9 v Pioneer Kuro(8G series) ?

I appreciate that it would be nigh on impossible to conduct a side by side comparison, but has anyone had an opportunity to compare the PQ(picture quality) of a BV9 against that of either the Pioneer XD or LX models? What did you think?

  • Re: BV9 trouble...

Given that both the BV9,and the BV7 Mk111,are now shipped without a remote control, how much of the stated extra cost relates to the remote control? Given the price of these TVs surely they should include a Beo4 as standard with an option to upgrade to the Beo5 at the ordering stage.

Let's not get too carried with euphoria. We have yet to see the PQ(picture quality), and whether,as an LCD,it overcomes that technology's shortcomings-black levels, motion handling, viewing angle- versus Plasma.

Bieele: TerryM: unfortunately, the 32" will neither be getting the BS3 chassis, nor a 1080p panel. That is bad news indeed! How final is this news? How reliable is the source? Bieele My dealer has,in the past, been reliable in his updates. He attended the recent dealer seminar in Denmark. Apparently, the only intended alteration to the BV7-32,at some
