• Re: B&O or Loewe?
Agreed - Neither a Samsung or a B&O - with average ( at best) sound and no real "identity" of its own...... when the best thing people say about your brand is "its not as good as XXXX, but it is cheaper.... then you are doing something wrong. silk purse/cows ear etc etc.
Hardly a fair,or

  • Re: Beosystem 3 - anyone have comments on it?
Is there a new Beosystem 3 out? is the only difference with the HDMI vs DVI output? Thanks
I would have thought there had to be some kind of upgrade to process 3D.

Even though the Beosystem 3 is a contributing factor
I think people love to assume the "powerful" Beosystem 3 is responsible for the PQ, but then why was BS3-powered BV7-40 MKIII so poor and my BV10-46 is slightly improved on my previous BS3-powered BV7-40 MKIV? I think

My previous TV was Pioneer LX608 Plasma, which was an extremely good TV in terms of Picture Quality. For nearly 2 weeks,I have been living with a BV7-55 3D,and I am amazed at the PQ,even with Standard Definition material. Even though the Beosystem 3 is a contributing factor,I attribute the stunning PQ to the full LED backlighting, with local dimming, and

Can everybody who posts please include a picture of there wallpaper so they can be evaluated , size of room and TV size would also be valuable information to assess there class .
No thank you I once posted a picture of my BV8 against a messy bookcase with its cables on display
Of course, there are some silly people who want to watch wrong aspect ratio material either zoomed or cropped, because they like to lose parts of the picture instead of having some dark glass surface
I have recently bought a BV7. My local dealer having set up the TV,I asked why it was not automatically switching

Even though it is placed in a normal sized room,I considered my large screen TV not only made the viewing experience far more enjoyable, but subtitles far easier to read, but apparently all the time I have been an uneducated chav placing more emphasis on the TV than people. Still, things could be worse. I might be judgmental, and patronising.

I have to say that if SD looks pixellated, and sport is unwatchable,on a 46" TV then one has to question the quality of either the aerial/dish installation,or the TV's processing. I had no such problems with my 4 year old 60" Pioneer Plasma TV. It is a sad fact of life that LCD,given it's initial problems, not all of which have been

In 2007 my Pioneer Plasma TV cost £5000
Interestingly, with regard to the subject of this thread, Pioneer closed it's Kuro division in 2009 because it was losing money - not enough people were prepared to pay their prices!
True. As was the case with Fujitsu

  • Re: Bang and Olufsen Outsourced
My Avant was twice the price of an equivalent Sony Wega , the new ones are more like ten times the price of an equivalent Samsung. No wonder they're not selling many.
Rather like comparing apples to pears. With their constant reduction in prices the mainstream manufacturers have reduced the quality of their
