• Re: Hope one of us got .......

I was lucky enough to win of these earlier in the year when it was listed with a BIN of £85. It really is a stunning set. The right hand internal speaker distorts but I couldn't complain at the price. I am not really sure why a bemaster 900 looks so much better with extra aluminium at either end but it does! Simon

  • Re: A difficult choice

I believe you would need a freeview box. Don't rule out tiding yourself over with an old Avant of you can find one locally. Unlless it is a newer RF model second-hand values seem to have come down to pocket money prices!

  • Re: Want to learn to work on vintage B&O audio -where to start?
After a quick Ebay search I have found the following. A copy of the book All the parts needed in one kit. Craig
That isa really tempting! goes back to an earlier era of electronics that is fast disappearing. Simon

  • Re: A8 fakes?
Still my question leaves unanswered, looks like nobody can tell/see the difference. If I gave one of you the fake one and the genuine one, could you tell , better could you hear?
There is simply no way to be 100% certain prior to purchase if you are not buying through official channels. I really cannot see a

  • Re: New set up

It sounds to me like an iPod and dock for the kitchen would be the ideal solution. You would need to rip the CD's to iTunes (or buy an iPod touch and subscribe to Spotify) but once this has been done, it would be a much more convenient solution all round. If you have the space for it a Fatman iTube with your exisitng passive speakers would be ideal

  • Re: New Jensen designed Toshiba Television

If you click on a headline on the original link it appears LG will launching a 31" OLED in March for £6,000 which must be very worrying for B&O! Simon

  • Re: It seems someone is selling Beoworld's manuals!

There was a seller who lives not far from me who sold pdf manuals from Beoworld at 4.99 a file. I reported him to eBay on numerous occasions and nothing at all was done. They really aren't bothered despite their rules clearly stating it is not allowed. They only seem willing to respond to complaints from the copyright holders themselves. Simon

  • Re: Beovox CX50 Woofer dead

It is the whole driver unit, four screws and two wires is all that is involved. Simon
