Thanks Russ! Following your advice, I've connected the 2 via SCART and Digital COAX to one of BS3's AV ports, as well as the masterlink, and have both V.OPT and A.OPT = 1. Then I set the port up as DVD and it worked wonders!!! Now if I press DVD, it'll play the DVD via BS3, and if I only want to listen to music (without the screen on), I

Hi all B&O gurus, I'm still trying to figure out how to connect the Beocentre 2 to my new Beosystem 3. Both units are in the same room, and I like to watch DVDs on the BC2 through the BS3 so I can get 5.1 surround. I've tried connecting using a Masterlink cable, and setting V.OPT (BS3) to 2 and A.OPT (BC2) to 0. Then I can control the BC2

Hi Jean, thanks for the advice! I realised afterwards that my screen is not HDCP compliant! No wonder. Because I've tested it on a Dell monitor. Today I connected it to my Panasonic plasma and all worked fine! :) I've got a second question! I'm trying to connect my Beocentre 2 to the BS3 so that I can watch DVDs through the Beosystem 3.

Hi all, I've just got a Beosystem3, thanks to one of our fantastic members Klas! Just spent the night setting up the speakers to it. It's amazing how much the BS3 can do with the speakers. However, I have one problem with connecting a PS3 to it. Plugged the PS3 via HDMI to HDMI-A of the BS3, then configured AV2 to use the HDMI-A output and assign

I had Beolab 8000 as fronts and Beolab 6000 as backs before, and a BL2 is almost a MUST! Just that now I've upgraded to BL9 and the BL9 have a strong woofer component so I've sold mine. Not only you get much stronger and definitive bass, the fact that the subwoofer is doing all that work frees up your BL8000 too. You'll hear the sound coming

Wow that is bizzare!! Glad you have it sorted out Dave!! I wouldn't like my BC2 to be lightly-electrocuting me either!!

Honestly I don't know why they're trying to sell 3D TV as a new product. I have seen Avatar in Imax and I have to say without the glasses on, the picture is just an overlapped mess (as if you're really drunk) and the glasses must be polarised of some sort to put the 3D into it. If any cinema can display the 3D picture on their screens, why

Dave, sorry to hear that your beloved BL1's stolen and the insurance company didn't provide you with an exact replacement. Now I understand what you mean. Sorry I'm not good at what sound is in which category. Now that you mention the S's and T's they are a little over pronounced, but only very very mildly. I have my Beosystem1 treble

I agree with what Peter had said. I came from a pair of BL8000+BL2 to a BL9 setting. Sometimes, the vocal part IS a little bit overly pronounced, but that is what the acoustic lens do. It makes the vocals really stand out. It also depend on what CD you're listening to. Sometimes it's actually great to have it that way as I could even hear the
