Or you could do it even without a manual. If I recall correctly there are only 7 levels for either ‘direction’ (+/-) when you adjust a setting (balance, treble etc.): so you can pick a setting and press an arrow at least 14 times (=up to) and then 7 times the ‘opposite’ arrow which would give you exactly the desired neutral value

I tend to agree with DoubleU that it's perhaps something with your setup/internet connection. I'm in South-East Asia and my Beoport has no problem locating some 60 BBC radio stations on a quick count incl. BBC Radio 2 as well as all the local ones(out of 681 U.K. ones) - they are playing just fine.
