  • Re: Beovision MX5000 problems, please help!

Sorry for the long delay for answering . By reading the description of your problems, I am afraid that you will have to go through the repair process again. First, ensure that you have replaced all bad capacitors on the A/V switching board. Then inspect visually on the component side damaged traces and pads due to leaked electrolyte (lifted or corroded

  • Re: channel changing with MX5000/VX5000

On the US MX-5000, there are 3 RF inputs, which are remotely selectable. "Device" is one of these. Tell the owner to simply switch the inputs. On the Beolink 1000, this was done by pressing the "ABC" key. There must be a equivalent button on the Beolink 5000. Regards, Jean

  • Re: Dolby True HD - question for 355f

"2. You let the player do the decoding. In this case you connect the player with HDMI-cable and the output from the player is digital PCM-sound. In this case the player decode the sound but the AMP will do all the bass management, room compensation and so on. The AMP will make the D/A, which means that it convert the digital pcm-sound to analog

  • Re: Dolby True HD - question for 355f

If the surround processor supports multichannel PCM and has only HDMI 1.2 inputs (as in the case of the Beosystem 3), and the connected Blu-Ray player decodes Tru-HD or DTS-HD soundtracks internally, the player will send the soundtrack in multichannel PCM format to the processor. All the benefits of having a high quality soundtrack are preserved. This

  • The North American BV-7 is multistandard!

I found a very interesting thing about the North American Beovision-7. It accepts and displays properly PAL signals from the analogue video inputs! To do the test, I set the video output format of my Sony digital camera to PAL and connected it to the side video input connector of my TV. The image was properly displayed in color. I checked the "input

  • Re: Fuse problem with Beogram CD-X

Finally the problem is solved and was trivial. A 400 mA fuse is required instead of 200 mA as my CD-X runs under 120 Volts. I purchased it in France in 1986 and the conversion to 120 Volts was made by a local B&O technician. Clearly, he has forgotten to replace the fuse with a 400 mA one, as I discovered in the service manual (half the voltage,

  • Re: BV7-40 MkIII Channel Display

beobuff: I recently had the SW in my US market BV7-40 upgraded to version 4.12. One peculiarity after the upgrade is that the right side channel display for the ATSC tuner appears only when the DTV function is first activated. After ~10 seconds, the channel display disappears and does not return when the channel is changed. The volume level indication

  • Re: PUC list on 7-40 MKIII

Jessemand: Hi. I am trying to connect a Sony RDR-HX970 to my BV 7-40 MKIII and hoped to control it from the PUC/STB-list. But I can only find the STB-list and in the dvd-menu it only says UNKNOWN DVD or some B&O-dvd's. Do I have to do something special to get the PUC-list on the screen or do I have to get a new software. Is it possible to make

  • Re: Beovision 7 DVD Player Problem

Mine also. I have the TV since September 2007. Probably the clamper magnet. When there is no disc, more strength is required from the motor to lift it. The Beogram CD-X makes a similar noise when the clamper lifts from the small platter. So just normal mechanical operation. Regards, Jean
