  • Re: Loewe expands retail outlets

But don't forget that Loewe products are not available in North America as they abandoned this market several years ago. Jean

  • Re: PC versus Mac - It's good to read a carefully weighted, balanced review for a change!

On a recent, Intel-based Mac, you can run either Mac OS or Windows on the same machine using Boot Camp or Parallels. So, you can run Windows only applications on your Mac as needed. Therefore, that "war" is a non issue as you have the choice of the operating system. Best regards, Jean

  • Re: Anyone controlling a Sony DVD/HDR via STB

Chris, I have a Sony RDR-HX715 connected to my BV-7 and I am able to control it partially using the RDR HX1010 codes. Some features, such as the title lists of recorded programs and the TV Guide have to be activated using the original remote as these codes are not entered in the RDR HX1010 entry. This is why I think B&O should release to the public

  • The new Blu-Ray player for the BV-7 cannot read any media files

As promised sometimes ago, I tested the new Blu-Ray player with CDs and DVDs containing MP3, JPEG and various MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DIVX, Xvid files that were successfully read by the DVD player of the BV-7 MK III. As an experiment, I also tried reading high definition MKV and MOV files either at 720p and 1080p resolution. Unfortunately, the new Blu

  • Re: Nikon fans; the new D90 is out!

I just got a Canon 5D Mark II. Does 1080p HD video as well as still photography. Video quality is superb on my BV-7. Low light performance of this camera is outstanding. The RED camera is probably overkill for most of us, unless one wants to shoot movies professionally. Jean

  • Re: Update on PUC codes

Eventually, B&O should make more accessible the way of creating PUC entries. Having to wait always for the company to release new entries is very annoying. There are two cases where it would be beneficial to have the PUC generation software available: 1- One wants to control an obscure device which is unlikely to be added by B&O. 2- There are

  • Re: BeoVision 7-40 MkIV, First impression
Unfortunately divx, mp3 and Jpeg will not be supported Bye Ernie
The "stock" 2500 player (if the B&O player is indeed based on that one) supports these formats with a firmware update. Again, B&O should try to keep its own player current. Regards, Jean
It is a Samsung BD2500 internal blu-ray with BD Live 2.0, and i can´t see any diffrence btw the Sony s350 we use in the store...
If this is the case, then DTS-HD decoding can be added via a firmware upgrade as well as reading MP3, JPEG, DivX, etc See: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/supportDownDetail
