Dear Keith, Sorry for reviving this thread two months later. I had the software and the PUC list on my BV-7 upgraded by my dealer a few days ago and I discovered that by combining some commands of the entries of the Sony RDR HX-1010, HX-780, and HXD 995, I could get a reasonable control of my HX-715 DVD recorder. Are these "DEC" files human

[quote user="csmager"] Hi all I've been searching the forum for a while, but haven't found all the answers I'm looking for. Thought it'd be quicker just to ask! 1. First off, is there any real pressing reason that I should buy the MkIV new, considering it's likely to be around £3k more? As far as I've found from

When the interview is expected ? Jean

"But the Player do not play CD in MP3 and DviX Videofiles. That´s bad because a lot of low butged BD-Player can this." But this can be probably fixed with a firmware upgrade. If enough people put pressure, they will do it. Jean

Keith, Many thanks for the info. So it appears that it will be a quite complicated job for just adding two buttons. Thanks, Jean

I am very interested in that subject because I would need to change the entry for the Sony HX1010 DVD recorder for my Beovision 7. I have a Sony HX715 DVD recorder and I would like to add three commands: STOP, GUIDE and TITLE LIST. My questions are: 1- How to extract the entry for Sony HX1010 from the TV? A special software is certainly required for

I will ask for two requests: 1- A toolkit for advanced users to allow them to define their own PUC or to modify an existing one. That may be valuable for some obscure devices. 2- Again, adding the possibility of reading various audio and video files in the new BV-7 Blu-Ray player (MP3, JPEG, DIVx, MKV, MOV with H.264 codec). Best regards, Jean

Une nouvelle version du "firmware" serait maintenant disponible. J'espère qu'elle incorpore les codecs audio et vidéo. Jean

It would be a good thing if B&O added the codecs to read various audio and video files as well as decoding DTS-HD soundtracks. Jean

Just to say that I am the one who repaired his MX-5000 and it is still working well! However, it is relegated to a be a bed room TV as I now have a BV-7 as my main TV set since two years. The problem of not powering up sometimes occurs with the MX-5000 after there has been a power failure. Disconnecting the mains plug and reconnecting it solves it.
