  • Re: BV7 MK 3 vs BV5 HD

I am looking at this again seriously - How well does a non HD model of the BV5 handle SD sources such a SD television (sky) and DVDs compared to a BV7.

  • Re: Latest B&O Offer

5 year warranty. Not really much of an offer... Costs B&O next to nothing and I really doubt whether it will drive sales that much. Would perhaps convince some already committed to buy now but unlikely to convert new prospects. Too intangible.. Wouldn't drive me to buy now I am afraid.

  • Re: THE LARS FLYVHOLM INTERVIEW - 2008

I am not sure I entirely buy into why B&O TV products are many times more expensive than competing products. "Brand Value" & "Buying Experience" are fairly intangible, and in a buoyant market will work fairly well to attract sales. However given the current financial crisis they will not save B&O if the actual product

  • Re: Not B&O but...

I wonder whether Loewe are taking advantage of the perceived high pricing of B&O AV products, giving the consumer who wants a well designed product a more reasonable price point. Personally I still prefer B&O design but if I were stuck for cash, and I am sure many consumers are at the moment, Loewe would represent a fairly acceptable and attractive

Thanks Moxxey, I did mean the BV7-40 Mk 3. I have always wanted a BV5 (HD) and it is now cheaper on the second-hand market but as they are both significantly expensive I need to know whether there is a huge difference in screen quality that would warrant going for the more expensive option

  • BV7 MK 3 vs BV5 HD

Anyone any comments on the differences in picture quality between these two units?

  • Re: Normal Dealer Protocol?

Sorry, I did not mean to denigrate B&O dealers in Paris or France for that matter. I just had some appalling service from some general retailers which would not be acceptable in the UK, perhaps just very unlucky, of course it could just be me...

  • Re: Normal Dealer Protocol?

Yes it was UK dealer. Perhaps it was just an off day, but I really would hope that B&O dealers were a little sharper. However I was in Paris over the weekend and let me tell you there is nothing can teach the Parisians about poor service, my B&O dealer was positively 5 star by comparison.

  • Re: Normal Dealer Protocol?

I agree totally about customer service - it is not free. However for the sales person to perhaps lose the sale due to simple errors is unforgiveable, there will be no customer service to worry about as there will be no sale. No pricelist? come on!

  • Re: Normal Dealer Protocol?

I was a walk-in customer. I liked the showroom as it is the more local of two in my area, but the lack of a pricelist and the old catalogue turned me off. Incidentally I was at a couple of high end car dealers today and they both had piles of the latest B&O magazines sitting in their reception areas. Are the dealers afraid of their prices being
