Peter, can you use cover flow on your iTouch remote to select the album you would like to listen to on your B&O system? nlb.
-
Linder, you are correct, you are not the only one. The beo5 took 5 years of B&O development time and it is now dead in the water already with many B&O users prefering to use the iTouch / iPhone instead as a remote control. So the BeoSound 5 had better be somthing very special for that price. The trouble is that as digital tech gets cheeper every year

I too was very tempted by the lovely LEICA C-LUX 2 but ended up purchasing the pany FX33, same camera ... slightly different price! nlb.

"Extensive research and the use of the very latest materials and movement mechanics technology means that every wheel we develop is always intuitive and easy to use. That was the case when we launched the world's first ever navigation wheel in 1974. And it will be the case when we launch our very latest navigation wheel product (BS5) in 2008"

It does make me wonder how B&O communicate with customers regarding software updates, without Beoworld we would be in the dark! Could B&O make a note in the newsletter... Dealers can't be bothered!
-
now that is good progress.

All and Chrisreunion, did the album covers take a while to appear, and what did you get before the covers appeared? At the moment I just get the round circle (CD symbol), but I am going to increase the thumbnail cache to see if that does the trick. nlb.

This is the full working version (not beta) and all works fine. ftp://ftp.beoplayer.com/BeoPort.exe

If the BS5 is to be a flag ship audio system (and the quoted price seems to sugest it is) then it must have a digital out connectiion so that it can be connected direct to the (digital in) on the BL5s or direct to your digital 5.1 sorround sound system. nlb.

Great ... BnO have made the correct decision not to include a CD player, this belongs on the PC in the study. But quality of sound signal is all down to the user on how they download or rip! User beware! nlb.
