Exactly, that's why I thought I'd stash away some redundancy for a rainy day - so to speak!

I'd get some, however I have to wait till end of Jan for my redundancy payout so I hope it doesn't go back up or down too much further after that!

Well isn't this thread a bundle of joy and happyness this Xmas time So thinking about share prices, GREAT I can take some of my redundancy money and buy shares while they're cheap! Apart from that am sure B&O will do just fine - the gorge BV9 and their tellies will sell well, so will their Audio things, however I hope the BS5 sells well

Well true, and you could do exciting things like configure your Beo5 off the TV, with it knowing what you have plugged in and where! Oh well looks like we'll have to create a spin-off, go run if for them and promote the end results! OH and BTW B&O I'm fully trained in AGILE project delivery so it'll show benefits straight away rather

That's true, I was kinda hinting at that. Am sure embedded Windoze would be the way to go in your tv for the moment, at least that way devices are relatively easy to update. Also you'd get a smarter interface, ideally the way to go would be use solid state drives with the OS pre installed, least it'd be slightly faster boot times, and more

It's true, that old chestnut of prices just doesn't wash. After all the main times I buy B&O is when am changing jobs/being made redundant - LOL just nmade redundant again so whatch out B&O here I come for more.
