  • Beosound 5 alternative: LaCinema Black

My disappointment about the Beosound 5 is getting even stronger when I see what this product could have been. Besides multimedia players like Apple TV (299$) and WD TV (99$) more nice products are following. Please check the LaCinema Black Record (450$) which is a 1 Terabyte full scale HDTV multimedia player and recorder with HD TV Tuner, HDMI, WiFi

  • Re: Dream Products

Hello Trip, I pretty much agree on your wishes. B&O should exactly focus on those two products: - Beosystem 3 (integration) which is the best solution to integrate audio, video and gaming. - Beosound 5 (digital media) was one of the best designed but most disappointing products from B&O. They should focus on functions that already come in other

  • Re: I hate my Beo 5!

I don't hate mine anymore because I brought it back to my dealer after 4 weeks. - Not customizable (by the owner) - Not ergonomic - Not robust - Not designed the way I like (the Beolink 7000 is the best) - Nobody at home wanted to use it Some stubborn people in Struer still refuse to deliver the software to their customers.

  • Re: Beolab 5 bass issues

Hi Martin01, my Lab5's are connected to the Beocenter 2 (digitally) and the Beosystem 3 (Beolink). Have you considered that a noise cancellation can appear if the Lab5's are to near to each other and to the surrounding walls ? Our living room is about 88 m2 and it's interesting how different the bass feeling is from one place to another

  • Re: Beolab 5 bass issues

Hi everybody, I'd like to add that many Beolab 5 setups I've seen show that the speakers are placed to near to the wall. The dynamik range is much better if the Beolab 5 are placed 50 to 100 cm in front of the wall. I have placed mine in a big room with a wooden floor and a lot of glass at he walls. These are very bad conditions for a high end

  • Re: How hard is Bang & Olufsen hit ?

BeoSound 5 was a big disappointment for me because it has no disc player. Otherwise it could have been a perfect replacement for my Beocenter 2. Considering how long B&O's product development takes, I would suggest to forget all kinds of disc or HD players and focus on these things: Speakers: Beolab 9's are easily competing within the high

  • Re: BeoCenter 2 with Blueray

[quote user="Chrisreunion"] .... why on earth is B&O not fitting the socket unit with an HDMI output instead of that pre-historical SCART socket?? All BeoVisions sold today have HDMI or DVI inputs, as far as I know, and it would help people with cable management, remote control and speed the need for a digital Masterlink platform.. [/quote

  • Re: BeoCenter 2 with Blueray

A "Beocenter 3" would be nice but I don't see any hope for a multi-disc player from B&O. After I have added my BeoLab 5s to my setup, I enjoyi audiophile SACD's on my Playstation 3. The Linn Unidisc SC is nice but lacks BluRay. See also: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/25784.aspx

  • Re: BeoCenter 2 with Blueray

Hi Tommy: Many of us would love to see a BeoCenter 2 replacement with BluRay, but unfortunately B&O doesn't plan to produce BluRay any disc players at all. The BV7 with BluRay is the only exception. Best, erg
