David, Thanks for the info. I am on the road for the next few weeks and can't even look at the box until I get back. Please let me know if this is the problem. (I certainly hope it's that easy.) Ric

David, I had exactly the same thing happen to mine. About two months ago I was moving things around in a new place, plugged in an IR remote receiver and the box simply died. Since I was moving it to make room for a BeoSystem 1, I haven't done anything with it yet except put it on a shelf. But one of these days I need to get it going again so I hope

I currently have two of these switches in operation (one of them in a link room.) I have changed the "activation" plug to an 8-pin din plug (power link) -- I hooked the ground wire to pin 2 and the +5v to pin 4 (PowerLink speaker on) and plugged them into an "extra" powerlink socket. I am assuming that you have the same changer that I do... it is a 10 disk changer made by Sony. The B&O part of this system is a separate box that has the power supply as well as the electronics to convert the commands to datalink (and plug into your Beocenter.) If you want to use this you need this "changer control". Mine is a type 5103
