I like this picture, Eugene! I have to try that winter-BBQ, but I guess I'll eat inside. We did not get that much snow here in Luxembourg. About 3 cm. Still enough to let traffic crush down!

Anders, I would go for the iMac in your situation. If you need to be mobile, you could still use your PC Laptop (but you won't do that after having used a Mac). The iMac 27" i5 is really a good machine. I have the 3,06 Ghz version, which is more than enough for me. If you do some video-work, the extra power the i5 offers sure is welcome.

As said before, you need to care about the viewing-distance. If you want a 47" screen, the viewing-distance should be at least 4,5 meters.

Wow! Looks really good in the base! If I'd use it, I would get one, but I barely use my BeoCom 6000.
