I think that the major problem (unfortunately a good one) is that the site now has such a large number of people viewing it that it inevitably requires a commercial slant to it. Hosting isn't free, this sis the same of any site. In this instance, one main form of revenue is advertising and to be honest, given the amount of work and effort (and money

I've been thinking more about getting the Beotime. Currently I've got the Jacob Jensen alarm which, whilst a lot better than the usual £2.99 cheap plastic closcks you get in a lot of places) certainly has it's faults. Mainly that if I want to set it an hour earlier one day, I have to spend a few minutes advancing it 23 hours forward

A dozen albums, $12 each equals over $140 and then tens of millions of people likely buying the full set. Sorry, I just see it as a money making exercise. Don't get me wrong, I love the music but I have everything on vinyl and I think that those albums played on a decent B&O turntable are as remastered as I need. The fans have bought the singles

It's a shame really. The Serenata (whilst a great looking piece of kit) is an overpriced and underperforming phone because it's ability to go beyond the simple phone+text remit has been completely overshadowed by the iphone and other companies wither faster turnaround and technology advances. Simply put, the tech-phone business evolves continuously
Whittle a violin from a solid hardwood plank using only nail clippers. The sense of achievement when finished will be immeasurable!
Following a conversation I had with a friend about my obsession woodglue as a do-it-all adhesive, he suggested I tried making a violin out of it. I'm thinking that if the wood

Huge fan. 50 is young but with all the talk and triviality about other people in the public eye, I can't help but think, 'what a ride...' I also can't help but think that the next 10+ years would be more court cases, legal wrangling and probably another album, not up to scratch, from a genius who had unfortunately lost the spark that

The reassigning thing is the obvious programming change, but I think I asked this ages back and was told the buttons are hard-wired. As an example, I'd love the DVD button reassigned to the AUX function because when I watch a film, it's through my Mac Mini so I need to switch the BeoMaster to the auxiliary input.

I would also add that the optimum efficiency of any audio system is when the impedance of the speakers matches that of the output. For those unfamiliar with the technicalities, impedance is different to resistance. You have a resistance along with an inductance, as the magnetic fields themselves create an electromagnetic field. A quick Google search

Just got back from a few drinks with a friend who also owns an ipod touch and some A8s. I raised the point and he agreed with me and said that the B&O headphones burnt through his battery in half the time. He also said that Phillips stuff was the same and that it was maybe a shared drivers issue. On the upside, he pointed out that he normally prefers

Oh right, very interesting.... As the fault with mine is clearly that a break has occurred where the jack and wire connects inside the plastic casing, maybe this was connected to the higher power consumption. I suppose if the wire had part broken, it could have been causing a minor short or something.
