  • $6m Home Setup

As is often pointed out on this board, money can buy you a load of kit, more often than B&O, but not necessarily stylish kit LINK

  • Re: Make your own BeoLab Speakers!!!!!

These things are always a labour of love. In the case of most DIY projects, if you worked extra hours equal to how long you spend building something, you could buy it, except that's not *why* we do it. I've spent weeks of my life building a bespoke shelving system, wardrobe etc, and I could have gotten the same effect if I'd worked late

  • Tracking pricing - any technical/IT people

Folks, It dawned on me that, given the number of times people ask the prices of equipment, could we not make something that tracks market prices on eBay and the like? I'm thinking that you could have a tracker search engine type thing that logged the time and end price of an eBay sale that contained the term "Beomaster 6000" or the like

  • Re: Going for a Projector.

One word - LC2. I will admit that's not in the dictionary but you get the point. Lighting at the control of my hand and I also live in an old building that legally doesn't allow double glazing so I naturally have thick curtains which as a biproduct block out the light. Hence I get pretty good black. I suppose though that if you go for that "white

  • XKCD on HD television

I thought I'd post this for people's amusement: http://xkcd.com/732/ For those who don't know it, it's a fantastic cartoon for the techy sorts. However, I'll let the enslaught of defenders and haters of the HD movement in the forum begin their say...

  • Re: Going for a Projector.

Projectors are the surperior way to view things and the Mac Mini combo works great with them. I have a MM at the front of my room with the sound running into my BeoSystem. Then there's a 25 foot cable running around to the back of the room where a cable splitter divides it between a 21" LCD monitor and a Projector. I've also got a SVideo

  • Re: TOP 10 designed Bang & Olufsen products ever

Wow, I havn't come across the 5RG Radiogram before, that's an incredible piece of design. Even if it was released now it would look pretty good. Sums up why I buy B&O (Thanks Wasti, it's good when people unexpectedly learn stuff like this)

  • Aux 2 on a BeoMaster

I posted a week or so ago about how I'd bought a Laserdisc player. Anyway, I've been running it into my BeoMaster 5500, switching over the Aux imput when needed. Anyway, whilst it's awesome, I'd obviously not want to have to switch or (even more) messy cabling. 1) If I fashioned a switch or merged cables, I suspect I'd get a load

  • Re: The BeoWorld Event 2010

I'm rather surprised, for all the people that said how digital allows you to get the photos right away, I've seen little. Or nothing. If I'd had the time to pop into Boots to put my film in for processing on Sunday, I'd have uploaded my pictures days ago...

  • My new laserdisc. And a BC7000 to go with it?

Well I posted a video about laserdiscs and other obsolete video formats and I decided to follow up by buying one. It was eBay item 220576167813 and it was a player and a good collection of discs for an unbelieveble £71. Seriously, amazing deal. Anyway, what does this have to do with B&O I hear you say? Well it has a CD player which would make
