Have fun with it. They're great looking phones! I got mine 5 years ago when they came out and it's still working fine. If it does eventually go, I'll probably just look for another one or maybe try it's younger brother.

I don't get it really, are they really not selling any of them these days that it makes business sense to discontinue it? The costs of producing those systems must be negligible now, the cost of the R&D and setting up the assembly line were paid for years ago. Could they not treat it a bit like the headphones - not a flagship product like the

Thought I'd see if anyone has any experience here before I proceed. Basically my Serene is 5 years old now and the keys need a bit more of a press sometimes. On the texting bit, you have to leave a bit more time between key presses. I suppose that this is due to dust/dirt accumulating under the keys. I was thinking that I could take it apart and

The A8s are good but for the price you'd hardly expect them to be rubbish. It's a fairly crowded market and frankly, I think some other companies do better for the £100-150 level, notably Atomic Floyd. B&Os problem is that they need to produce a headphone, but it's not a market where their style means a lot. It's like if Apple

Not sure if you three have realised that it's a rude albeit silly joke, the name is a pun "I self-touch"

Well I walk to and from work as well as most other places (I live in central London) so I use my iPod 2x per day, sometimes 4x (if I'm going somewhere in the evening). As for my ears I should be ok, 90% of what I listen to is Radio4 (talk radio) or podcasts on history and the like. I only really put on music if I'm still 10 minutes from my destination

Really, the subject line says it all. They break on me every few months and I'm amazed that nobody makes a sturdier wire to jack connector. It's not as if I'm overly forceful or violent with headphones but after a few months the general wear and tug of being in my pockets means that the connection goes dodgy and I have to switch to a new

This happens all the time alas. Years ago my grandfather threw out all his old camera equipment as he'd recently gotten a new video camcorder. Thousands of pounds of Leica and Bolex equipment are now sitting in a landfill somewhere in Scotland

Ok, I went and got a B&O tv. In the end I got a 26" MX3000 (it's just for the bedroom so I don't need anything huge) along with a video player. Finally that the stack of VHS tapes is no longer "clutter" and my refusal to throw things out has paid off. Anyway, I thought this was worth a followup to point out that beyond the

So lately I've been thinking about getting a TV for the bedroom and (because plasma/LCD is all the rage) there's some great deals to be had with second hand CRT models. Being B&O, these should still last for years to come and I was thinking that I could maybe splash out on the Avant that I couldn't afford years ago when it came out.
