Only just caught up with this thread - but those Pentas in white do look really excellent. I may just buy another set of Pentas to recover! It is a pity Radio Silks do not state the width and length as 1.42 sq metres could be a thin long rectangle through to a square (thinks - 1.42 is almost the square root of 2!) Brian

I am not aware that the displays on the Pentas have a dimming facility - it might have been an interesting feature though! Brian

Not sure of the question - do you want to know how to adjust the brightness or do you have a problem that when the brightness is adjusted the picture size changes?? Brian

Graham1982: Very mundane entry: In Europe (not often in the UK) they have cupboards above the kitchen sink with a draining rack as the base - you wash your dishes, and rack them in there and the excess water drips into the sink. Those chrome finish polished CXs really do look excellent. I guess with 3 months of darkness and winter one has to find something to do! (Depends just how far north in Canada you are!) I had not thought about painiting the speakers - but perhaps should experiment. Does anyone know what is under the black finish? Brian

Look after it - a classic design that I nearly bought years ago, but fortunatley quad died out before I splashed out! Oh, and well done on the remote to go with it! It is amazing what eventually shows up on ebay! Brian
