  • Speakerlink 3 to 2

Hi, I have, eventually got around to using my Penta 1's. I have made the stupid mistake of using Powertlink 3 cables to the RCA converter cables. Can I modify from Speakerlink 2 to 3? and if so, could someone please explain the connections in, " colour wire" terms! (I can use a soldering iron). All help graciously recieved.

  • Re: Beocenter Overature Doors

Hi Derek, Sorry for not responding sooner, I was away this weekend. I'm pleased that Graham has come to your rescue, as he helped me through my experience! It's a job, once mastered you never want to do again! Phil

Hi Derek, I have completed a similar operation with a 3000. I involves removing the rear cover, locating the pully wire brackets (one top, one bottom, a tourch is helpful) and the 2 screws on eachand, I cannot stress the need to loosen these, carefully, just enough to allow the doors to be moved together and re-tightened on the 'new' wire position

  • Re: 9500 sound loss

Hi Graham, I get exactly the same response from all speaker sockets, including the link sockets. I have also tried several sets of speakers both passive and active with the same result. Thanks, Phil

  • 9500 sound loss

Hi, I have a Beocentre 9500 which has no sound unless it is played a the maximum level, and then it is faint. I have tried plugging in a set of headphones with the same result. Does anyone have any advice/help. I know which end of a soldering iron to hold and can, unlike my cocker spaniel, follow simple commands! All help/advice is greatly appreciated

I know what you mean. Maybe that's where the saying, "lights are on but no one is at home?" It's so annoying that a simple problem is not so easily fixed? Phil

  • Quiet Penta

Hi, I have recently been playing my BS 3000 through a set of Beolab 4500 which sounded great. I decided to try my Pentalab 1's but to my horror only one worked. I have tried different wiring combinations, including the line -in (which works with the 'good' speaker) but to no avail. The amp light goes red and then green but no sound. Any
