  • MX7000 + other devices: how best to connect?

I find myself with too many AV sources and possibly not enough input ports on my Beovision MX7000. I'd appreciate any advice on how to connect the maximum number of these to the TV with minimal fuss. Current setup: Beovision MX7000 DVD1 (connected to AV2 on MX) Beocord V8000 (connected to AV1 on MX) Playstation 2 (connected to Camcorder RCA inputs

  • Re: Beosound 2 charger or docking station

I have a spare travel charger that I will happily send to you (keep it). You'll need a UK AC power cord though to attach to the transformer. After a saga with ordering through two different B&O stores I ended up with two travel chargers. This one is unused and still in its original box. PM me with your address details if you are interested.

  • Re: DVD1 - freezes after 30+ minutes

Thanks for the suggestion of a DVD controller. I don't know whether the MX7000 will accept that option but I will investigate with my dealer. Marcus

  • Re: DVD1 - freezes after 30+ minutes

Thanks for your collective advice. Plan A will be to clean the lens; Plan B will be a glum trip to the B&O dealer hoping for a reasonable repair price. Of course, the pragmatic solution would be to purchase a new DVD player from a different manufacturer at a fraction of the repair cost. What I'm really paying for is the luxury of having one

  • DVD1 - freezes after 30+ minutes

I bought a DVD1 from eBay recently and have connected it to my MX7000. All is well for the first 30 minutes or so of watching a DVD then the picture freezes and the sad clicking sound begins as the DVD mechanism tries its best to read the disc. Once this behaviour starts, the disc must be ejected, the DVD1 switched off and restarted. Menus do not work

  • Re: Non-B&O VCR connection to MX7000

The Stig - ver. 1.5: Are you sure the cable is a RCA to Scart and not Scart to RCA? also chek that the RCA plugs you use on the VCR is an output not an input. Good thought. I have tried a new cable (SCART-SCART + gender changer + SCART-RCA adapter). The adapter has a switch to select input or output (and hence the direction of signal). I have tried

  • Re: Non-B&O VCR connection to MX7000

Ignace: That is odd, did you save the settings in the SOCKETS-menu by pressing GO ? Yes, settings saved. Ignace: When you select V.TAPE2 on Beo4, do you see the MX7000 switch to that socket (but the screen stays black) ? Yes, MX7000 switches correctly to that socket but the screen stays black. Am I using the correct cable to connect the VCR to TV? It's

  • Non-B&O VCR connection to MX7000

I am trying to connect a non-B&O VCR to a Beovision MX7000 using AV cables. Alas without success. The VCR has three output ports (red yellow white) which were connected to corresponding red/yellow/white input ports on my old TV. The MX7000 only has SCART input and I have a red/yellow/white to SCART cable. (This also has a S-VHS plug on it though

Tried with AV2 and V.TAPE2 as well. No joy.

  • Re: Looking for a new 500GB external hard drive - Any advice?

Britops has provided a link that describes in detail what should happen. You are right in thinking that you have copied your iPhoto library and thus you must delete the old one once you are happy that the new library is both complete and in your preferred location. Do not be concerned about your lack of knowledge. Time and experience will solve that
