  • Re: BV7 Freeview module

That's fantastic news. They are starting to look like better value for money. Now all I am waiting for is a full HD panel they makes SD signals still look okay. Nicholas

  • Re: BeoVision 8

I hate to start on the same topic again but £2000 for something that does not even have a DVB tuner built in? It's madness. I just bought a 26" Samsung LCD TV for my mother with DVB, HDMI and a selection of other acronyms for £400. Obvious the quality will not be as good as the BV8's but for that price it is difficult to complain

  • Re: Something new about the beo5...?

With regards to the Beo5, did I read correctly that it is able to learn commands from other remote controls? Does this mean that it also has a "normal" infred diode? If so this will mean I can finally say good buy to my Apple remote. Nicholas

  • Re: BC2 - new models

It would be very useful if they added the laser that allowed it to read both HD DVD and Bluray discs as well as CDs and DVDs and give it an HDMI out. I know how unlikely this is but it would be great.

  • Re: Apple TV - Using one with an SD TV

The thing I enjoy most about the Apple TV is how much can be done to it. The addition of Codecs to allow it to play more video formats, the increase in HD space, the use of external devices through the USB port. It's so good to see an Apple product that can be modified to heavily.

  • Re: Recent Purchases

Actually there are already 100 GB 1.8" drives available with 120 GB drives arriving very soon. Alternatively do as I do and carry two (an 80GB and a 60 GB) or just the one and a gently modified 12" Powerbook with a 160 GB HD.

  • Re: iPhone

I believe it is expected in Europe at the end of the third quarter. It's a shame that it is still unknown which network it will be on. The device is far to big for my liking and has too many functions, but saying that I am such a sucker for Apple products I will still probably get one. Nicholas

  • Re: BeoLab 4000 minor update?

I am very glad to hear this as I have been in the market for a pair for quite a while. This gives me the very excuse I have been looking for to pull the trigger. Regards, Nicholas
