YOU'VE ALREADY HAD THE BEST ADVICE YOU'RE GOING TO GET: DITCH THE LAB 150S!!!
-
Thanks for your opinions. The idea of taking out a pre-amp output from the BM8000 is to take advantage of the Beolab 150 of the Pentas II, and find a Beovox Pentas or a pair of Beovox of 120w to use with the amps of the BM8000. I will apreciate your opinions about this set-up.
There is no advantage to using the

Over the years this question has been asked before, and the answer is always the same: why? Why would you want to power your speakers with the inferior Lab 150 amps when you have an equally as powerful, and to my mind superior-sounding, amp in the Beomaster 8000? I had one for a while and really liked the sound of it, but when faced with a straight choice between losing the 6000 or one of a Beomaster 8000, Beomaster 6000

It's a mono amplifier, so not really. You need a pair (as you would find on a pair of Beolabs) ideally. Probably easier to get some Beolabs or a better B&O amp, like a Beomaster 8000 or a Beolab 5000.

Thanks Tony! An enjoyable listen. Not sure why it was buried at such an obscure time in the schedule though?!

I love them. Tolerances that us Brits could only dream of emulating!
