What if you have no Beosound 5 and just Beomaster 5? I haven't had the update :(

I do exactly this. Using a Panasonic Monitor in the bedroom. The only complication is if you plug a 2nd IR receiver into the Beosystem 3 the 1st one doesn't work so I put a simple on/off switch in the 2nd IR receiver cable in the bedroom.

Can anyone tell me the UK price of the Beomaster 5 on its own?

I understand Apple Lossless is not supported. So I added a codec to my windows media player and can now play Apple Lossless the only problem is when the cover art is added to the tracks it then doesn't play again. The cover art was already added in itunes but looses it in Beoplayer and when you add the cover art again the tracks won't play.

In the 2nd room you can have as little as one center speaker, or two speakers set as center left and right or upto 5 speakers. The two way switch is a simple Y type switch I think from memory there is a need to break the green wire in the IT cable to allow the 1st room IR to continue working. I have two Panasonic Monitors connected to my BS3 in two different rooms. One monitor connects to the Projector socket. I ran a DVI cable to the second room and 3 powerlink cables. And the IR receiver cable When you select the Projector you can program the speakers as per the 2nd room. I also use the Beo5 Remote to switch the panasonic plasma on and

Two work arounds 1. Switch Autodetection off and select BV4-50 D9 as display 2. If you have a Beo 5 Remote there is a download which can easily be added to your Beo 5 remote by your dealer on Beoworld which allows control of on and off switching of Panasonic Plasmas

I have a Panasonic PlasmaTH42-PH9 connected to a Beosystem 3, since software updates on Beosystem 3 this no longer switches on/off etc at the same time as the Beosystem 3 although it used to work fine. Is it going to be possible to write a XML file to control the switching on/off instead?
