  • Re: Beomaster 4000 vs. 4400

I've owned both and decided in the end to keep the 4400 and sell the 4000. 4400 is much better!

  • Re: 6000 QUAD Project

I was lucky enough to get one in perfect working order. It soon became one of my favourites. Very eye catching and the sound in my opinion is very warm and pleasing. Its beautiful piece of design and there are less and less of them around. A big project I'm sure but definitely worth it!!

[quote user="dauphine"] My Beogram 4002 Series 5511. I have owned it for more than 20 years. It briefly played years ago and soon after, started malfunctioning with platter speed erratic and other troubles. this beautiful turntable has been frustrating me for decades and about 10 years ago, I replaced the original 4000uf capacitor with another

  • Re: IPAD2 ET BEOSOUND8

I think that supporting Apple products is already causing a headache. Apple changes their products far too often for B&O. My reasoning why Apple and B&O just don't go together. I hope B&O do solve the Ipad 2 problem.

[quote user="geearr"] Hi Ben I agree with the policy of getting these machines into the best possible condition - even though you are not going to use them. I now have many machines in excellent condition but simply don't have the time to appreciate them all - which is a pity. The photo below shows some bad cracks on the latest clutch

[quote user="geearr"] Ben Pleased to hear that you got your beocord working OK. Did you check the condition of the plastic arm that carries the spindle? more often than not, they are badly cracked and that will affect the tape drive performance. Get the new belts and fix the clutch properly and I agree that the sound from these old machines

  • Beocord 8000 spindle problem

If you look at the attached photo, the Spindle (think thats what it is called) on my Beocord 8000 that I just got was sticking out lower than it should and it just pulled out easily. Surely its not supposed to be able to come out so easily? Anyone know the solution to this problem? Thanks Ben

Always great to see a product I've never heard of. I wonder if anyone on Beoword has any of these?
