I'm sorry to rehash and old thread, but it felt more appropriate to ask here rather than start a new one. I know people have said the matt coating/paint on the 3500 panels can easily be removed with a varnish remover, exposing the mirror finish of the 4500 series. Can varnish remover be used on the newer 9300 systems to likewise expose the mirror

Awesome Leslie. By the way, I once restored the finish on the back of one of the glass panels for an MCP and used a spray paint specifically made to simulate stained glass. It looked identical to the original and with no fear of later flaking off like the cellophane-style original. Austin

Was that an actual piece of B&O furniture? Because it looks like someone made it by doing some cutting and painting of the F1000 cubes.

The components of the stacking systems are always a toss up in regards to how much they'll go for. One week there may not be anyone who happens to be looking for one, so something like the beomaster could go for $180, and a month later another one goes for $350, especially in the US where demand is more erratic than in Europe.

Thanks Mika! It's good to be back. Funny how selling off some of my pieces for dental school ended up rekindling an interest haha. I knew about adding components but I had touched the 'other' selection with my iPhone fingers and didn't realize I wasn't pressing the glass hard enough! Austin

The problem is since the BL7000 doesn't see the old turntable as being a datalink connection it won't show "phono" as a possible source. I have to instead

That was it! Thanks guys. By the way, has anyone ever tried replacing the sensor arm-light with an led?
-
Hmm, it was awhile ago I fixed it, so I can't remember exactly, but I can see why it'd be confusing from that picture you posted. I remember when I ran the carriage though, by the time it got to the end the sensor was too far from the ruler. I had thought on my turntable one of the plastic screw slots on the top was perpendicular to the ruler

I stumbled on this thread by searching, and even though it's old, since there's already quite a bit of information about various problems I figured I'd add one of my own problems I've found in the past just for reference in case someone in the future happens across the same issue. If the automatic arm return at the end of the record
