I do like the design and I'm curious how it feels and handles, it's more of a "beo6" remote with wake-up function and perhaps I can remove my beo4 from it's wallbracket and replace it with the beotime ? I sould be able to control our LC2, our BV3.32 and our link speakers BL4500 :-) the sound will be no different for us though,

mooi wekkertje met een heerlijke sound, nu wel opletten dat ik onze serene[s] niet verwissel met de wekker bij het aflopen ;-)
A word of caution Craig & other potential visitors. Clitheroe is only open 3 days per week. And to confuse matters, the actual days change every week without notice. It's what counts as excitement in Clitheroe!
scary : sounds almost like a scene from the new harry potter movie......................:-
Indeed, in reality many man (and women, too) replace the older model with a new and usually more expensive one, though in some cases the initially perceived benefit of such a change eventually turns out to be questionable, sometimes! Beologish seems to be a real connoisseur - of good heart in addition: seeing benefits of

I don't know if a new model "should" completely replace the old one for I've used the BL1000 and the Beo4 together for some time in the beginning and they to have their own specific strengths, but while replacing/renewing the equipment over the years the BL1000 disappeared outof view/use somehow ;-) I guess it will be the same with

torn between two lovers (he, that's a song..;-) I really like them both for they both have their strong and weak points. so I use them both !!! :-)
Lot's of good points in favor of the Beo 5. But...I still can't program it myself for "everything" I want, and this means a no go. Plus, I *can* operate my Beo 4 - IN THE DARK - without looking at it. The tactile sensation of the button's "clicking" is quite re-assuring and satisfying

apps for the iphony ? why would that be ? B&O has the serene and serenata as a cell phone ! or do you mean the iphone should be able to replicate with the beocom2 or beocom6000 adressbook at home ?

I've got no problems with my beo5 as I use it every day as well as several beo4 around the house; I've had it programmed once at my dealer's after thinking everything over well enough to make it work exactly like I wished/wanted, so I'm happy with it and beside that it's a more beautifull remote then the beo4 but not in everyway
