  • Re: digital radio switchover

Hi, The guys at OneRemote.eu (a Danish firm) have modified a DAB and Wifi receiver to work with B&O even in the linkrooms. I have their previous moded DAB receiver and it works fine for me. Kind regards from Belgium

  • Re: beoport and Ethernet?

There has been some threads on using UTP wire as masterlink wire. It is possible that these were on the old forum, which have been lost... If I remember well, some of the wires in the masterlinkcable are not used. If you leave these out, you have enough wires in the UTP cable to do the job. There are believers and nonbelievers for this. Some people

  • Re: Beomaster 7000 running hot

Hi, Thanks for the tips. I ordered some new trimpots for the no-load current, but they were the wrong size :-(. I checked the existing trimpots and the current was almost 11mV, as required. I additional adjusted them, to match exactly the 11mV. But the hum stays present. I additional checked the 5V Power-supply as stated in the service manual. I measured

OK, Thanks. I'll give it a try. While I'm in the BM, I'll also want to change the capacitors on the CPU-board, that you mention. It seems that that PCB is dual layer. Is it difficult to solder, or are there soldercontacts on front and back of the PCB? kind regards Joost

  • Re: Beomaster 7000 running hot

Hello, Now, I also changed the C22 in the powersupply and the heatproduction seems to have diminished, but the hum is still present. So, I guess I'll have to have a look at the idle current trim pots. I have the service manual and there's a section on 5-1 on adjusting the No-load current. I guess this is the thing I have to do? Is this hard

Hi, I've got a similar problem. Since a few day my BM7000 started humming and running hot (in my impression). I changed the C8, C9 and C14 in the power supply, but without result. Any suggestions? Is the a near death of my BM? :-( Kind regards Joost

  • Re: Clock Oscillator Frequencies

Hi Peter, I'm not a techie-guy and neither an audio-expert, but I heared most of the improvement when I added the Tentlabs XO-powersupply to the XO-clock. It was a close fit, but I managed to integrate it all in the CD7000. Don't ask me why, maybe it's all between the ears :-) Audiophiles who hear my setup describe the sound as 'remarkable'

Hi, I did the Tentlabs upgrade to my beogram CD7000 to reduce the jitter. Should also be an option for the Ouverture. Kind regards Joost

  • Re: B&O Penta owners will want to bookmark this!

Hi, I guess you mean 'the sound with the RL's' is stunning. :-) I also repaired the foamsurrounds myself. I ordered them at Good Hifi. They have surrounds for the RL140, but these didn't fit with my woofers, so doublecheck the size with them. The woofers of the RL140/7000 are known for being difficult to center. It took me 1/2 hour each
