This turned out to be a very peculiar case. I sent the BM to a local B&O repairshop (small radio/tv-service which is the official repair-place for older B&O products). The serviceman called me few days ago and told that there was nothing wrong with the BM! We agreed that he will keep the BM for a couple of more days and if no problem is found
BTW, there are a couple of test points on the processor of the MCP that sound like they would allow it to remain on (obviously only for testing purposes). However, I think Ville tried them once and told me he couldn't get them to do anything... they probably need to be shorted in some particular way / timing, or

Overnight unplugged: still no.

Something went wrong with my beloved BM7000. Today I was listening to radio with headphones (as usual, several hours a day) and the BM had been powered on for some two or three hours. Then I switched to AUX for a moment. When returning to RADIO, suddenly all but two presets (2 and 15) were lost, and the default volume had changed to 60!! Remote didn't

(--) not using double sided tape (which I wouldn't recommend with these - especially on the top frets, those corners are really tough).
Not excatly wrong, just some more instructions would have

I just finished re-clothing my Beolab Pentas. When I bought them (around 2009) the original cloth looked dirty grey and there were several holes and scratches around them and I decided to replace them (someday). Some six months ago I bought one of these kits . For weeks I didn't have time to start, and finally I made one of the four frets and then

I once got a CD5500 with the same problem, no power. I opened it and immediately saw two big diodes on the board that had bad solderings, they had almost come off! Resoldered, and the thing worked like new.

Don't really think so. Most likely I would stretch the limits of my home... again. But seriously, I really don't think I could accommodate those. Eventhough I would like to. Hopefully they will find a good new home.
