  • Re: 250$ for a CD?

Don't be too dissappointed if you find it a bit rich for your tasts, I've heard this cd and it really is complete twaddle. You would not pay half a Euro for it once you hear it! Some would call it concept music, I think using the word 'music' to describe the contents is an extremely generous term for electronic noodling without rhythm

  • Re: Beovox 5000 - Upgrade

The sound was pretty dull and lifeless, and this did improve things, however the addition of the cubes made all the differance in the world.Bass seems to go a bit deeper and less boomy. It was not a massive improvement, but noticeable. Add up all these little improvements and it can make a big difference. I also did a pair of Type Ks, the cones were

Don't forget to check out the components on the crossover frequency adjustment controls too.

You may well find there is a significant advantage in replacing the wirewound resistors, modern ones are much more accurrate. If you measure the values of these resistors, you may well get a shock, mine had drifted massively, you might imagine that a drift of a few Ohm isn't much, but when you are dealing with the low values found in crossover netowrks

  • Re: Maybe a fraud with stolen B&O stuff???

There's always the possibility that someone is trying to sell off items looted in the riots, and does not want to try sell it in the UK to reduce the chance of them being spotted.

  • Re: A B&O style compatible phone: RIM Blackberry Porsche Design P'9981

Might have been ok 5 years ago, but looks are not everything and I thinks it's rubbish. Display is far to small, and 3 function keys? what is that, those went out with the Sinclair Spectrum computer almost 20 years ago, imagine trying to alt-shift on a keyboard that size? the Berry torch 9800 is a much better option, and, typical of RIM, the photo

The draw is usually on too late for me to watch, first I knew of a prize was when I looked at my emails. Looking forward to flipping those nice glossy pages

  • Re: Business analysis - Bang and Olufsen has designed itself away from its customers

B & O's problems in my opinion stem from proprietry network technology which makes it incompatible with any other manufacturer, requiring the new entrant an extremely high step just to gain a toehold into the marque. Unfortunately the proprietry network has been well bypassed with relatively easy digital networking, which is also very much cheaper
