• Re: Keyring controls
Yes you can do this on your 8-40 (may need a software update), so a couple of the response above are incorrect I think the option in the menu is "tuner setup" and you get the option to enable and disable the analogue and Digital tuners. If you disable analogue, and leave the digital tuner active then TV turns

  • Keyring controls

Today I got a nice present from my collegues: A B&O keyring! What I was wondering about: Can I somehow change the control of the "video" knob? Now it turns on the tv function; I would like it to turn on the DTV function? I assume I can not change this on the keyring, but maybe there is a way to change this setting on my BV8-40? Thanks

  • Re: Beovision 7-40 and speakers

Agree, I think it is impossible. i also wonder, why not use the bl3 as front speakers? I would prefer to have a center and two fronts over a center and two rears. Bieele

  • Re: Loud buzzing rear speakers

Thnks Frog for the advice; I think our posts just crossed each other. I actually did what you proposed; swapping the speakers to see if the problem is in the speakers or cables. This led to the cables. And as you can read in my previous post: you are also right that the problem was in the din connector.

Fixed it; the problem was in the powerlink connection of the rear speakers. The connector connected to the BV8 had a broken solder connection of the shielding. Was some time ago that I used my soldering equipment, but I got it fixed.

  • Loud buzzing rear speakers

Hi, I got a big scare yesterday evening. When I turned on my BV8-40, both rear speakers started to buzz very loud at a level that gave me big scare. I sounded like a static sound at a very high sound level. 2 days ago I had a similar problem; when 'slamming' the doors of the cabinet under the BV8-40, a loud 'plop' sounded from both rear

  • Re: BS9000 connected to BV8 issue
Could it be that there is no new software downloaded for the Master Link connection print that you have installed? It is absolutely neccessary to update this sw otherwise there are a number of problems such as the one you discribe. Ernie
Thanks for the info; I have no idea if the correct SW is installed for the

  • BS9000 connected to BV8 issue

Hi, My BS8000 that is connected to a BV8 acts a little strange now and then. When I select a CD to play, it often only plays the first number on that CD and then skips to the next CD. Once in a while it will also play only the first number on that CD and move on the the next CD, but more often it plays that CD properly. I can not get the problem reproduced
