  • Re: Ouverture with faulty doors and CD mechanism.

Hi Ola: Might I also suggest that you take a look at the array of fuses in the unit to make sure that they are all of the correct value. Sometimes people put high current substitutes in them or bridge them with a piece of wire! The fuses on this unit are pretty sensitve and they blow quickly to protect the electronics. It strikes me as odd that your

  • Re: Convert from 220v to 110v - Beocenter 9500 & Beolab 3

Hi Menahem: I have several pieces of B&O: BM 8000 BG 8002 BG 8000 Beocord 9000, 8002 CDX BC 9500 BC 4000 BC 2500 BG 3400 BG 4002 (AC and DC motor version) Only the BG 4002 has the voltage dial. I live in North America. B&O always used high quality transformers. I don't know if this is a European thing, but they B&O transformers have

  • Re: Spare Slave Arm / Tone Arm 8002

Martin: You had a friend in Germany custom make knobs for you. Do you know what kind of "resin" he uses? How strong is the cured product? I'm wondering how feasible it is to recast this part? Derek

  • Re: How to change the CD drive on an older Ouverture

From what I understand B&O has an entire upgrade kit that converts CDM 12 to CD PRO 2. This includes the mech/servo board and controller+D/A, which is the long rectangular PCB that runs down behind the right glasss. I do not believe you can swap the mech without replacing the controller+D/A board. My knowledge is limited to CDM 12 and I suspect

  • Re: Spare Slave Arm / Tone Arm 8002

Yep.... got this one from someone who gave up fixing it. I noticed that the arm was sagging and wouldn't tighten. I slipped the arm off and it came apart. It is a clean break. Any thoughts on the torque issue? Derek

  • Spare Slave Arm / Tone Arm 8002

Does anyone have a spare slave arm for the BG 8002? Actually I only need the graphite piece that slave arm slides into. It secures the slave arm to the carriage. Mine has developed crack and the slave arm is very weak. Thanks, Derek

  • Beogram 8002 Torque Adjustment?

Hi: A few questions for those in the know: 1) Does Beogram 8002 and Beogram 8000 have the same torque on the drive motor? I have a BG 8000 and the motor feels stronger than the BG 8002 that I am current repairing. I have no experience with a functioning 8002 so am unsure. 2) I've recapped the contol board with new electrolytics. I've stabilized
