Although I do/did have my doubts about B&O returning to hybrid amps on the BL9, I too am glad that they are recieving favourable press for what are revolutionary loudspeaker series. I also feel somewhat vindicated (in a soft sense) to some of the comments posted on this (Mk1) forum (as opposed to the current mk3 version). Do members remember the

I think one of the biggest areas B&O could make a hit would be with dedicated music recorders/servers - lıke the Olive Opus. Combining a high-quality CD ripper, lossless and B&O's know-how in interfaces and multi-room, they can recaputure a lot of lost ground. Considering the very high price of the Olive and linn systems, I doubt a BL5 class

The BC2 is linked to the BL5's via the digi-coax and I would comment it is far from garbage. Very nice sound indeed. However, I'm sure that a dedicated

I will add, that if B&O put out an audiophile class CD in the BC2 shell, I will be THE number one customer to get this machine. 10%

Justin: I know the BC2 is more expensive: but I never really considered - is it the aluminium materials and build that make it a "premium model" or is the CD transport/DAC better quality, so actual sound is better. I would assume (and that is all I am doing) that a CD only mechanism at the same price/slightly less than a standard BC2 is down
