• Re: Beolab1 vs. Beolab 5

Personally, I can't stand the sound from the BL1's. I find it very shrill and hard on the ears. Playing around with a pair once on the end of the BS9000, I had to push the base right up and the treble right down to get an almost listenable sound. The worst speaker set in the range IMHO. However, it may be my ears and not to my taste. You have

MrT: The science defines earths shape as very close to an oblate spheroid—a rounded shape with a bulge around the equator—although the precise shape (the geoid) varies from this by up to 100 meters. The average diameter of the reference spheroid is about 12,742 km. More approximately the distance is 40,000 km/π because the meter was originally

  • Re: Hope the new products in 2009 are a hit that proves Goldman wrong!!! Go B&O!

I have the same issues with my company (and all my previous ones too!). There are essentially two markets for every publicly listed company:- One that sells things and tries to make a profit from sales, and one that pumps up share price so the stock commodity enhances the balance sheet (and analysists, bankers and executive managers share portfolios

  • Re: My problem with B&O

The point may have moved on, but I have to come to TripEnglish’s defence in that I see his point:- "The way I like to think of it (in a rather male chauvinist way), is that all these regular sound systems like Denon, iPod etc.. are like young women. They’re great, sexy, nubile sweet little things that will be eager to do anything you

I think the thread and the debate is a good one. Detailed eloquent posts from both parties. Both are adults and getting into a debate (with or without a little patronising), we should all be a little thicker skinned. The forum needs a little fire now and again and I would suggest this one is not at the point of insult. Keep it going! 10%

  • Beogram 8002

I have just managed to aquire a good exaple of a BG8002. Now I know that this deck does not have an internal RIAA amp, so the question is, what do I need to do so I can get this unit to work and play through say a current BC2. What RIAA amp and cables are required etc... Any help is apreciated. Thanks 10%

  • Re: Testing and comparing BL2

For pure "showing-off"purposes, I use another Massive Attack track - Angels. Whack that up to max on your system with a pair of BL5's and see if the room can take it. Hardly demonstrates the taunt, controlled delivery of base the original thread was implying, more a raw unadulterated power on how to destroy a building from within. 10%

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen Cuts Profit Outlook (Update)

Guys...... I would just wait and see what happens. For me, I dont think B&O will come out of this economic downturn relatively too badly. Of course, that relative depends upon the depth and length of the downturn. Do they have enough cash to survive? I think their survival will have little to do with their products, features or design etc... It

j0hnbarker: Re: Your thoughts on a letter to B&O.... B&O may read this website, but a cogent set of points addressing the concerns of one (or a group of) loyal B&O customer(s), would be a good way of drawing their attention to the concerns of their customer base. I'm sorry, but even if B&O read this site regularly, any complaints
