SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "0:001:VTR:1:VTR" Thank you Stefan!!!! the key was to use the VTR mode , not TV mode , exactly as you suggested.

Thanks ! Yes it is, an 8 years old avant 32 dvd with almost 20.000 tube hours... but still working flawlessly. A very solid B&O device indeed Regards.
