  • Re: Today's B&O Financial Statement

    >> s tragic. Short sighted and detrimental to the brand.<< What is short sighed about that? For one, I doubt a Toll Brothers would sell much. In most metropolitan areas you will find small high end developers. That's one: http://www.therenwick.com/site/ For the hotel deals, this is such a perfect way of introducing people to the products

I don't think the ipod dock is expected to drive store traffic. I would expect they expect to sell that through Apple to create brand awareness. For the link to the design community that obviously make sense to target re-models and new construction In my opinion they should focus much more on product placement deals with dwr.com, hight end european

  • Re: Beopad

No. They would not reach enough volume to be profitable with it. That they have the Ipod/IPad app for the masterlink gateway remote that should do the trick.

I am not overly worried about the losses. I am worried about product launches. It seems they got the BV10 right, I am hoping they fix BS5 with the encore

  • New Apple Remote App for Ipad

Finally they updated the Iphone app to support the Ipad. It works nicely, much easier to select the music due to the larger screen. Yet, it doesn't seem to cache the album art so with lots of CDs on my ATV it is a bit sluggish displaying the cover art. Also in the "Albums" view the cover art doesn't look "sharp", even for

  • Re: Beosound 1 discontinued?

Even if they discontinue now I am sure until inventory is sold it will be a year. Always always keep in mind that they do not End of Life topsellers. I think only few people buy CDs players these days. If I would start from scratch today, I would think very very hard about it.

  • Re: Why are B&O doing a Beo6?

I think most of us are aware of the Beoliving strategy, I mean it is there for years. I think for Europe there is quite a few customers that pick up B&O outside the "Beoliving" segment. I know this is not the market that you are catering to but overall I am sure it is big business. I believe that for many of these customers the latest

Wasn't thinking through the missing masterlink thing earlier. So that must mean that I have to connect it to the AUX in of my BC2 ....? Does it have its own Powerlink sockets?

  • Re: Apple's "AirPlay" and B&O

Ahem. Am I missing something here? You can just connect an Airport Express to your B&O Speaker. Since airplay seems to be working just like Itunes streaming you should be able to regulate volume just like you can today. I take your point though, that if they would integrate that fully and one would not have to go through AUX and you could do the

  • Re: Apple's "AirPlay" and B&O

No, the sound wasn't bad at all. Dropouts is the issue. To me the airplay is not such a big deal. Its convenient because I can start watching on the TV and finish of on the ipad. Also, I can purchase on the IPAD but not on the ATV. I don't see though that this is a must have feature for B&O to pick up. It as easy to just connect a 99$ ATV
