  • Re: Apple Lossless support - What gives?

Small fish bends over to big fish. Many B&O customers run MACS, use Itunes, have Ipods, Ipads, Iphones, I anything. Might be worth supporting. Apple is right now the market leader. Why make my life difficult if I stick to the market leader for all things digital. B&O does just that by somehow forcing me of buying into the concept of maintaining

  • Apple Lossless support - What gives?

I still can't get my head around why B&O has such a hard time supporting Apple Lossless. Sonos pulled it off. Reading up on the wikipedia, while it is not possible to get an official decoder from apple there is a public library available - someone reverse engineered the apple decoder. That must be what Sonos is using. Having this would make

I use sometimes lossless, however Itunes can convert on the fly into 128kbs which is a little weak. I am hoping they give a flexible option there in future. I do not want to deal with Flac or multiple libraries so I will keep waiting until this is sorted. By this I mean, either gapless AAC compressed or gapless Apple Lossless.

I am very disappointed that they are still not supporting Apple Lossless. If Sonos can do it, they must be able to do it. Flac may support the gapless playing issue for the macworld, but I can't maintain that as a library that syncs with Ipod. They either have to make gapless compressed AAC work or give me gapless Apple Lossless which I believe

  • Re: Should B&O get out of the digital media market and concentrate on what they do best?

    >>While they're not inherently perfect, the ease of having everything "on the desktop" makes it an uphill climb for companies that don't value the GUI.<< ??? It's not easy to have everything on a desktop. Keep things simple. The reason why I want a BS5 is because I want a simple music player. I do not want to clutter

  • Re: January BM5 Software Update

Does flac work in itunes? I need apple lossless for that reason. I dont want to run 2 libraries. Also what is mentioned here with compilations and covers is scaring me to some extent.

  • Re: Beo6 on B&O's website

Well, it does not mention that this will be a 2 way remote for the BS5. I would think this might just be something that talks to the masterlink gateway similar like the Ipod/Ipad can be used to control B&O products.
