I have the Imac with Frontrow and IRTRANS/IRED so I can control it from Beo 4. It's not perfect and I am considering switching to Beoport now that BMLINK 1.5 is out. For link rooms I don't think there is a good solution yet, unless you have a TV there as well. I would take a look at the 2 way remote that keyspan is bringing out to control Itunes

I would do BC2 as well, because I like the design and it should do just fine for DVD watching. Unless you are planning to buy blueray movies I would not yet buy a player, there should be plenty of improvements coming in future models. Would be a cheaper option though. Are there any other non B&O DVD players that the BS3 supports? JK

I would also think that there will be a price bump if the BV7 is really based on BS3 and can handle full HD. If you can get a good deal I would probably consider the BV7 right now as is. Full HD doesnt make much sense with a 40" screen, however it could be that the improved chassis of the BV7 will add a visible improvement that's why I would

>>There's something different with an audio CD that makes me still want to buy them<< I think music we tend to hear more then once and even go back after years. A movie is usually seen once, maybe twice if at all. I used to buy all my DVDs but realized that probably only 10 or so are really worth buying in a year if at all. I went back

>>The Doors 5.1 version from perception album. On a Beosound 9000, with BL3 at front and BL6000 at rear. A voice can't get any deeper than Jim Morrison's in that song<< Do you mean 5.1 Surround? How does this work with a BS9000? Or is it just stereo on 4 speaker?

It is not. It would be connected through ML cable to the Audio Master. For wireless some here including myself use the airport express (http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/) which works together with Itunes. However you would not be able to use the Beo unless you connect a IR receiver or a Beoport to the PC and have it in line of sight. I have 3 of

>> What if neither technology makes it?<< That is my feeling right now. Somebody posted here or I read somehwere that the reason why Microsoft backs HD DVD is that it wants both technologies to fail. Think about what would have happened if they would have backed blueray as well. Then it would have been pretty much clear. Would have been

This is very nicely produced and my setup shows what it can do when you pop in a decent CD. Unfortunatly most CDs I have and like are mediocre and the BL2/BL3 are a

I am getting used to the layout but somehow I can not reply from my blackberry anymore. That was quite entertaining while waiting for planes, trains or meetings to begin. Reading still works perfectly fine. I might be the only one who likes doing that though .....l JK

Interesting, I didn't know that they made a project out of this. I doubt though that you find somebody here who pulled this off ....
