Ad 2: Correct, you will need a Datalink cable between the MX and the Beocenter. Datalink will provide remotecontrol of the TV through the Beocenter and the other way. This will ease the daily use. You can use a non B&O cable, but then you will have to press CD when changing tracks and AV TV when changing volume - a little unhandy IMHO. If you fit

Puncher: On the same tack I've never understood why people spend a fotune on in-car "hifi" (not just the kids with the ridiculous boom boxes etc) and I would include the Audi A8 in this group. Firstly there will always be engine, tyre and wind noise to raise lower the signal to noise ratio to way below what would be acceptable for "hifi"

Rasmus: great.. thanks... so if I mute the speakers on the television (eg. mute command on the beolink 1k) the audio signal is still available on the audio aux ?? I'm designing a switch-box with inputs from a BeoGram 9500 and a television and output to a BeoSound 4... Spot on: Muting the TV does not affect the AUX output from the tv. What TV does

I prefer LX to MX sound wise. They are the only TVs I know enough about to make a comparison. I think that the speakers in my LX 6000 performs just as good as any normal stereo like Sony, when it comes to sound reproduction.

Audio AUX link carries line level stereo signals between Beo products. It also carries datalink, which enables eg. a Beomaster and a Beovision to communicate. Please note, that there is a difference between audio aux link, and audio aux, for instance the Beosound 9000 has audio aux, but that does not include link. Link is only possible via the MasterLink
