Had severla Beo 4's that have done this over the last year or so and tracked each down to a spillage of various liquids onto them.........One refused to come to life even afetr dismantling completely, cleaning with Isapropynol and drying thoroughly but then came back to life by itself after about a week Worth dismantling and cleaning I would say

Thanks again Peter, have downloaded the updated version and installed it with no problems. By the way in case it helps other users I am running this on a laptop running XP SR2. Please let me know what problems others are having and I will certainly do my best to help Steve

I would be happy to help to if you have any specific questions. Have to say I am very happy with mine having had it for about a year now, it really suits me to have the functionality of Beo4 control of my music and photos both in the main room as well as link rooms as well as being able to use it as a PC to surf the internet using a wireless keyboard
