Hi everyone, I'm thinking of buying a pair of Penta IIIs for my livingroom 7000 system. At present I'm using a pair of beovox M150s, but I'm not particuarly pleased with tha combination - the treble sounds worse now compared to when i bought them in 1997 (I guess the crossovers need a rehaul), and the bass response is strange (it's slow

"Locked" means that the FM tuner is locked on a frequency (it has found a radio station), so when playing radio this is normal behaviour. What happens if you switch to another source like cd or tape? It sounds strange that it shows "Locked" even in standby. edit: Ah sorry, I now see that you've already checked this. Then I have
I would go for a pair of MS150 . I am very privaliged to own the actual pair photographed in the link. They were extensively refurbished several years ago and sound sublime.
I am still thinking about this one. I need to clear some surface space and this would be nice but I would love to see the actual 7000 stand. I know there some kind of glass shelf one.
You can see the whole series in the 1994 catalogue (http://www.beoworld.org/manuals_view.asp?pid=1244 ), the two versions of
I thought the stand for the 9500 was glass and black? Good find!
There were two, this is the later stand - ca 1995. There is a Beosystem 7000 version as well, that one is actually very nice.
