• Re: New name revealed

Ah! Well, "play" has worked fine for Cdg. I hope it goes well for B&O to. I think it's a good idea to have a separate name for the sub-brand.
PiP is either a useful feature to you or it's not irrespective of so-called 'digital days'. I can't see whether the signal is digital or analogue has anything whatsoever to the the usefulness or otherwise of the feature.
The problem in the digital era is that most of us only have one digital tuner

  • Re: Now the Form 2's have had a splash of colour!!!

It's not the colours that I don't like (quite the opposite!). What I don't like is that it looks cheap in those pictures, cheaper than the various form 2-inspired phones I've seen recently. Make the logo half the size (and place it in a corner), print it in a darker colour (for example dark red on the bright red phones). I think it wold

I think it looks terrible. All the virtues of the Form 2 design disappears in these colours. I definitely don't mind bright colours, but this was not good. The worst thing is definitely the logo though - I hate it. It looks really, really cheap. For me, the _design_ of the product is the logo and the brand, the design should speak for itself with

  • Re: bad surprise - beolab 6000 frets on ebay
Yesterday I got all of my money paid for the damaged frets back from the seller. I'm really happy that the case ended this way. Thanks everybody for their interest and words written. Regards Martin
Great! Some sellers have a different opinion on the definition of "mint condition", I've met several

This may sound a bit stupid, but try the tape input again - once when using a 5-pin din plug in a 7-pin socket, I managed to insert the plug the wrong way and experienced similar effects.

  • Re: Finally did it

also like the Penta a lot, and I bought a pair of IIIs this spring. They are not perfect, though. My main problem is that they don't sound good in my livingroom, but that room IS a diffcult room acoustically. i have tried my Pentas in my bedroom, and they sounded great there so my problem is acoustics and placement-related. I'm not saying the

  • Re: Spare Cartridges - Use or Store?

I agree, switching cartridges often is not good for the contacts (and they are very important when it comes to such low-level signals as phono output) and there is also always a risk that you may break the cantilever. On the other hand, they will go bad even if you don't use them. For example: I recently broke the seal of one of my spare un-opened
Humm... As millions of people I thought that IBM sold the first PC in 1981.
They sold the first PC that adhered to the IBM Personal Computer platform, yes, but it was definitely not the first Personal Computer. Neither was the Apple Computer, btw.
