  • Re: Beosound Century

Medogsfat, It was the quickest "buy-it now" purchase I ever made. I literally saw it minutes after he listed it. Felt very lucky, I honestly think the seller didn't know what he had, his sellers history was for mostly cheaper used "boom-box" type radios from the 80's and 90's for $15-$25. $300 may have seemed like a big

  • Re: Beosound Century

I installed a Century on the wall in my oldest sons bedroom. It sounds great and is very "B&O". I have an audio cable hooked up so he can connect his MP3 player to it via aux. I love the BS1 and considered buying one since the Century is no longer made. At almost the same time I found a very nice Century with the aluminium clamper in excellent

Thanks for sharing Michael, did your dealer give an E.T.A for the Beocom5?

  • Re: How independant is Beoworld?

Being deceitful from the start and giving false information about yourself and having the nerve to complain about censorship is more than enough reason to suspect that "Sven Peter" and his fear of "extremely stinging bees" is up to no good and is best left to his own demise. Let Sven post his BV 10 photos on his own website and claim

  • Re: Moving on... bought my last B&O anything...

I don't frequent any McIntosh forums, if there are any, but would guess to say that McIntosh owners do not labor over McIntosh's lack of compatability with Apple products/marketing the way B&O customers do and they seem no worse for it either.

"I have looked up the website of Macintosh and you have to say that besides the specs there is not much there. Still looks like many 80ies black box systems to me. But this is my personal opinion, and I am sure they make really nice sounding amps with easy to fix proven standard components." cooldude, You are quite right, good equipment and

  • Re: Your last personal demo ... the *wow* factor

evman140, I too am feeling alone here in the midwest. All too often people will think you're talking about Bose if you say B&O, so I just say Bang & Olufsen...which ususally gets the Bang & "What?" response. Everytime we have visitors they all take looooong looks at our B&O items, but usually say nothing, if they ask ,

  • Re: B & O starting to fall behind?

Sal, wow there's a member from WAY back! My congrats on the kicking the B&O addiction. I still have it and I'm really not willing to part ways with any of my stuff, I'm getting older and it's time I settled down, good luck with what ever makes you happy in the future. linder made an intersting point about the North America market

Apple TV will be replaced, I-Pods will be replaced, compatibility will be limited with future products and the technology will continue to evolve 'for the next must have function or next new compnay. If B&O doesn't meet your every desire today.....move on to the product that does. And when that product line lets you down, or doesn't
