  • Beomic BM5,1964

A "small" Christmas gift to my son who likes spending time in his home recording studio. Note the Fethead plugs (Triton Audio) which raise to 20dB the very low output voltage of the BM5 and protect its fragile ribbons from the Phantom 48V!

  • Re: B&O Studiomonitor type 6257

[quote user="Dillen"] I agree, very nice find. B&O produced a couple of different speakers specifically (or modified) for Danmarks Radio. Definitely collectable ! I found type 6257 mentioned as Beovox 5702 here http://www.bang-olufsen.com/product-archive?ProductName=BeoVox%205702 Note that they are different from the GB Beovox 5702 (Type

[quote user="Søren Hammer"] That loks very interesting, would love to have those in my studio! The 12" bass drivers looks like SEAS with rubber membrane and your son is owning a Beomaster 2000 in rosewood, is he using it to drive (Yamaha?) monitors? Nicely equipped studio, though it looks like it could need a reel-to-reel recorder

[quote user="tournedos"] That's an interesting find! Nice to see them used for pretty much their original purpose as well All those stickers might be interesting to see. The amps might even be DR's own design, small series stuff like that was sometimes built in-house at broadcasting companies back in those days. I suppose there's

  • B&O Studiomonitor type 6257

Hello all B&O vintage fans! I am fascinated by the B&O vintage products and I collect them since more than 30 years. During a trip in Denmark to visit the B&O Museum in Struer, I found, in Ringsted, a pair of these beautiful speakers with their stands. They were used at "Danmarks Radio" during the late 70's early 80's.

  • Re: Designer David Lewis has passed away

When I look at my BV5, Beosystem 2500, .... I know He will still be alive in my heart and I am proud to own some of his works of art. Reposez en Paix Monsieur Lewis. Marc

  • Re: THIS must be rare (or not)?

These lovely radios tend to be more and more rare on the auctions sites. This one seems to be in quite good condition and the price is more than correct. (I saw one of this with its cabinet resprayed in red sold more than €400!) Marc

  • Re: flash your b&o

Great, Square4! I have dreamed to do the same thing with my CDX and CDX2 when they were connected to my two 8000 systems but I never have had the time and patience to do that. It would be interesting to have some photos to see how you have made the mounting of the wooden frame. Congratulation for this beautiful update! Marc

  • Re: Changement de dalle sur beovision5

Welcome to Beoworld, Fredzed !
