• Re: BL5 - digital and analog input/source

Question 4: There's no need to go up to 192k, there is virtually no pre-recorded 192k material out there. I tend to record at 88.2k in the studio, but even this rarely gets distributed, it's normally crunched down to 44.1k (CD quality) at the mastering stage! Question 3: I haven't been with B&O for a few years now, so somebody correct

  • Re: Beomaster 4400 - slowly developing issues!

Well obviously I trust your advice greatly Dillen, thanks for the reply. I was thinking a re-cap would be in order anyway just for the sonics. What sort of cost would I be looking at for a set of good-quality caps for the 4400 (not including labour). Anybody from the UK want to chip in?

  • Beomaster 4400 - slowly developing issues!

Hey All, My Beomaster 4400 is slowly developing issues. Firstly, the volume fader is a little uneven around the 3-4 mark (jumps up and down by a considerable amount). Secondly, I'm hearing 'rumble' when firing up the amp, and it's taking longer and longer every time I power it up for the rumble to disappear. I haven't used it for
I think I'm simply not getting it. I have techno lust as much as most people, and I'd love to have the Alt lenses in my car, but I really don't see the point of moving alt lenses in my home. In fact, I think I'd might consider it garish, or even "chavish" if you wiill.
Likewise

  • Re: BV6-26 or BV8-26 at same price: Which one to take?

The 8-26 and 8-32 are a completely different TV to the 8-40. Let's not go into details but I would rather take the 6-26 and run it in standard definition than run an 8-26 or 32 with HD (having seen both sets side-by-side in the past).
What is wrong with FLAC?
I can't sync it with my iPhone or Apple TV (it won't even play or load up in iTunes), and there seem to be no bits of software which work as well with tagging large FLAC libraries as iTunes does with Apple Lossless. I know Apple Lossless (ALAC) is proprietry to Apple, but

  • Re: Beosound 9000 discontinued,,,,,

I understand why B&O have done this, but what is worrying is that this leaves a lot of the B&O customers no option but to listen to MP3 through their systems (BeoSound 5 still doesn't support Apple Lossless). MP3 is not proper sound - it's an insult to your ears. Anybody who spending more than a few hundred pounds on a sound system should
