• Re: BeoVision 10 sound quality
Moxey, my only dilema now is will the extra 6 inches for a 10-46 really be worth it? The Beolab 11 is a given
If I'm being honest, no. In fact, the other day I wondered if I did the right thing - I love the BV10, love the easel stand, love my coloured frets, but it is a tad big. I don't feel like I have
I rated the Beolab 10 and the other inbuild speakers as center speaker. For audio you need of course additional speakers, I use Beolab 1 as front and Beolab 6000 as rear speakers at my BV 7-40 3D with Beolab 10.
Correct, but that's a different situation entirely (than rating the BL10 as 10/10). Few scenarios

  • Re: Software Update Mess - BV10 in bits!
It's too late Raeuber, the B&O technician already disassembled the tv. Do you have to pay for the software upgrade only or for the upgrade plus the two hours engineer job ?
No, it was all dealer driven. There's a known issue with the BV10-46 that requires/d a mainboard upgrade, according to the dealer
- Beolab 10: 10
I'm not so sure about that. Again, I think it's just that placebo affect that people get when they buy a new speaker or spend some cash, want it to sound much better, so believe it does. The BL10 is just another BL7.4. I couldn't just use my BV7-40 with a BL7.4/BL10 and be happy.

  • Software Update Mess - BV10 in bits!

You'll like this... Dealer went to upgrade the software on the BV10-46 and found it couldn't be done without a replacement part (PCB?). The service engineer from B&O is round here at the moment with the BV10-46 in bits, simply so he can upgrade the software. Apparentely there was a fault with the BV10-46 where it wasn't possible to make
I have a BV10 and am not that impressed with the sound quality.
Try just about any other TV other than a B&O and you'll soon realise the BV10-46 sound quality is superb compared to rival TVs. I'd like to see you create top quality audio in a 3" deep case! I've mentioned this on another

  • Re: BeoVision 10 sound quality
If you complement the BeoVision 10 with BeoLab 11 subwoofer, as I have, the sound improves remarkably
I must admit, my dealer is always recommending this combo to me. I thought it was simply to shift a BL11, but they insist it makes a big difference (to the BV10).
As I'm thinking of a new TV, can someone tell me if this is true? I'm wondering if the sound produced by the in build speakers can be compared with a BeoSound 8, Beolit 12 or any other in the range?
Sure it's comparable to a Beosound 8. Better! Compared to a BV7-40 with 7.2 (see other thread), it's

  • Re: BV10-46 vs BV7-40 (larger screen vs better sound)?
Hi, guys, because the new BV 7-40 3D incl. speaker (BL7.4 or BL7.2) is roughly in the the same league as the BV10-46 with antireflex screen I`d like to hear your opions.
I've owned a BV7-40 for many years (with 7.2 and 7.4 combos) and now a 10-46. The 10-46 is no way near the level of a BV7-40 with 7.2

  • Re: Beovision 10-46 in 3D in 2012 ?
A good point you make I think moxxey. I can foresee the end of the DVD, but when, who can say?
I'm was a strong advocate for Blu-ray as you receive a better audio experience than you will via a HD download. However, the convenience of being able to rent a HD (downloadable) movie and being able to control
