  • Re: Brand new MMC4/5

The stylus becoming overly & quickly dirty could well be an indication that the VTA is wrong which would definately be symptomatic of having the wrong ride height. It would put the stylus rake out of kilter which in turn would drag dirt out of the grooves which wouldn't normally be touched by a correctly tracking cartridge. (It does show you

I don't suppose the ride height really matters so long as the rake of the stylus gives the correct vertical tracking angle. I am surprised that you find it lacking in treble - I was under the impression that, along with new Soundsmith cartridges, Axels refurbished cartridges produced a brighter sound. I'm relying on earsay here though as I haven't

  • Re: Refoaming Beovox CX50 and CX100

You only need to remove the dustcaps & shim to glue down the outer edges of the new foam rings, the rest of the work can & should be done prior to this. Leave them in place until you do this to save them being exposed for any length of time. Chris.

  • Re: Beosound 8 and iPad/iPod

Welcome to Beoworld It's unfortunate that your post is the first one we have had here re:- your problem with the Beosound 8. Unless anyone else here has had the same problem & can help I would simply return it to your dealer for a warranty replacement. There have been very few (if any) problem posts on Beoworld with this product so I imagine

  • Re: BEOLAB 150 & PENTA MK1 (Passive)

John is correct - you need a pair of BL150 amps plus the displays & wiring. In all honesty it will end up much cheaper & easier to simply buy a pair of Beolab Penta's - even if this means selling your Beovox's to fund this. The BL150 amps are the first ones used in the Lab penta range & were replaced with the BL200's & they

[quote user="moxxey"] [quote user="Medogsfat"] I promised I would not respond to any of your posts unless it infringes posting guidelines - well IMO this comment does just that. What sort of mind can link a thread about a new B&O product to a dubious remark from a man of dubious character regarding racism in football? I'm

[quote user="KingOfSnake"] BTW I am hopeful that the administrators might allow me to change my user name to something more endearing and less controversial than KingofSnake - can I change my user name to Sepp Blatter? • MINT CONDITION - HARDLY IF EVER USED

Now THAT'S a pretty bold claim for a MMC2 cartridge which shows plenty of signs of usage. You don't get that degree of colouration on a "hardly used" cartridge/stylus. I really dislike these vague descriptions, if you can't prove it then don't claim it. Chris.

  • Re: Beocenter 7700, remote control problem

I'll add - if your BC7700 isn't responding to commands I have a working IR receiver module if you want it. Chris.

  • Re: Martin (Dillen)

I have to agree with this. Beolink 5000's are decent enough remotes but are extremely delicate & easily damaged. Reconnecting the screens to the PCB is nigh on impossible if not done at factory assembly stage - I have tried with several with varying degrees of success none of which was any where near satisfactory. Save 2 way com's until
