There are more issues than just the datalink question. Cosmetically the BG9500 & the BG4500 are the only 2 beograms with the mirrored panels on sloping lids. However the 4500 has a RIAA (pre amp) fitted and this will require disconnecting before using with your beocenter unless you connect via the Aux input which will mean no remote control functions

You have to be a bit careful with these. The RL 60's have deeper cabinets (although the front dimensions are the same) so require longer straps. If they are originals then the model number should be printed in red on them. Obviously RL 60 straps can be cut down to fit 45's. Chris.

Probably - there should be 2 holes at pin positions 1 & 7 where the datalink pins have been removed. Chris.

Hi, yes connection can be done via the tape 2 input phono sockets. You will need an adaptor lead which can be purchased form any decent electrical suppliers. These are generally 5 pin Din to 2 or 4 phono (RCA). As the CD cable is 7 pin Din this will require the removal of the 2 extra pins which simply unscrew, don't lose these pins though as they

ArgyleMoss: Forever by The Charlatans is a great choice, i love that band. Cannot argue against this one but ny all time favourite is "Shine on you crazy diamond" (Pink Floyd) on vinyl on my BS7000 & Penta's - just sublime Chris,

Kevin: And I thought we were keen on B&O excuse the bias. Yes there are plenty of speakers out there that will perform well and possibly better than B&O but the systems were designed to work with B&O speakers so why not use them. Exactly right Kevin B&O have always designed products that will integrate seamlessly from era to era so why

Just to add my own tuppennorth' When wiring the 2 pin DIN plugs, the small round post is the positive side of the speaker cable and the flat spade is the negative. I agree with Kevin re: the CX100's especially if space is an issue but a lot of these will suffer with foam rot of the bass & mid range drivers. If space is no problem then any

Dillen: The sudden shutdown or CPU reset (because that's what it is) is a sign of processor instability, most likely caused by bad capacitors and/or bad solders. I've seen too many Beogram's deemed "irrepairable because of a dead processor" but, luckily, the truth was different. Grab a cap kit and check the solders, especially
